The installation ‘The People’s Wall’, a collection of black & white portraits of the people from the Raia, border area of Portugal, their music and the Adufe, a local musical instrument will be shown at Guangdong Museum of Art, as part of the exhibition ‘Issues of Urbanisation’, curated by Tongyu Zhou.
The Portuguese rural communities portrayed in this installation will help to raise awareness to the unbalances in the population distribution and the social and ecological problems emerging from this.
This installation by Cristina Rodrigues belongs to the collection of the ’21st Century Rural Museum’ that will be exhibited at MUDE, Museu do Design e da Moda, Colecção Francisco Capelo, in Lisbon from the 16th of May to the 31st of August.
